Weaving Waves by Leoni Pirenne.

The immersive installation by Leoni Pirenne was an exploration of how we experience consciousness, for which the artist used the metaphor of a sunrise by a sea. For the soundscape of this installation I used only recordings of ambient sounds from the dunes of Terschelling, the location where the artist has a deep experience of this observation of consciousness as well as recordings of Leoni's voice depicting various aspects of our emotions e.g. laughing, crying, humming joyfully, etc. Working collaboratively with the artist we created the concept of having sonic layers mimic these emotional layers, as such the soundscape has moving compositions of deep pulsing tones, slowly sweeping middle layers and fluttering chaotic top layers.

More information on the artist can be found on their website.
