Witness by Ida Sophia.

Witness explored the theme of vain hope and the futile actions we often undertake. For this film by Ida Sophia, my task was to create a soundtrack that built tension and sustained it until the end, mirroring the discomfort experienced by the performer. I handled on-location sound recording and used a hydrophone to capture underwater sounds generated by the performers. This project was the winning entry for the 2023 Ramsay Prize and has been acquired by the Art Gallery of South Australia.
